As real estate agents and entrepreneurs, sometimes taking time off is the hardest thing to do. After all, we are constantly under the impression that if we put in the constant work, time, sweat, and tears, we will be successful and meet our goals. Joshua Smith is here on this week’s episode of Leveling Up highlighting the benefits and the power of downtime and taking time off. There is a true power that comes from being able to unplug and go offline, to recharge and get your focuses and goals in line, and it is highly encouraged! Dan Rochon is a real estate agent with 13 years of experience, an entrepreneur, author of the new book, Real Estate Evolution: The Ten Step Guide to C.P.I., and a real estate coach! Getting into the industry during November 2007, Dan was struggling during his 1st 4 months with making sales and finding his feet. He had no closings despite his lead generation efforts like cold calling, putting up signs, door knocking, and more. It was then something finally clicked and he realized what he needed to do to find success. Fast forward to a year and a half later and Dan was able to buy the brokerage we worked for and start scaling it even bigger! It seems that everyone can relate when it comes to struggling to silence the voice inside your head that tells you that you can’t do something, or that you will fail. Learning how to eliminate negative self talk is one of the most important and powerful aids when looking to take your business to the next level. As real estate agents, learning how to not listen to the voice inside your head and instead learning to control that voice is something that you should definitely be focusing on, because there is no more for negativity or self-hate on the road to success, and negative self talk will only make it harder for you to get to where you want to be and to build the life you want and deserve.
